To qualify for the Portugal Golden Visa, applicants must make an approved investment in the country. While real estate investment is no longer a qualifying option, investors can choose from the following routes:
- Invest a minimum of €500,000 in government-approved venture capital or private equity funds.
- These funds must not be linked to real estate investments
- Create a minimum of 10 new jobs in a Portuguese company.
- Invest €500,000 in scientific or technological research projects conducted by accredited public or private institutions.
- Make a €250,000 donation towards artistic production or the preservation of national cultural heritage.
